Principal Attorney Shanna M. Kaminski is an experienced litigator who aggressively represents businesses and business owners in often contentious and complex litigation in both state and federal court. For more than a decade, she has focused her practice on bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, business litigation, and creditors' rights. Ms. Kaminski has wide-ranging litigation experience. She has litigated and tried matters in state court, federal district court, and bankruptcy court. Notably, Ms. Kaminski represented the City of Detroit Water and Sewerage Department in the City of Detroit’s historic Chapter 9 bankruptcy case.

Shanna also has extensive experience representing diverse creditors and other parties in all aspects of bankruptcy, probate, receivership, and debt collection matters and defending Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) claims, consumer protection act claims, usury claims, and lender liability claims. She has considerable knowledge regarding the merchant cash advance industry and has developed a unique specialty representing merchant cash advance companies in litigation, bankruptcy, and collection matters.

Ms. Kaminski is on the Michigan Business Law Counsel, is on the Board of Directors for the Detroit Consumer Bankruptcy Association and is actively involved in numerous other professional organizations. Ms. Kaminski is also involved in her community. She is an Ambassador for the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce, on the Board of Directors for the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan, and volunteers with the Eastern Michigan University Mock Trial and Moot Court Teams.
